20Two retreats are available in the Diocese of Victoria to help you prepare for marriage:
Engaged Encounter
Meant to help prepare couples to enter into the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church, couples will leave with a renewed spiritual perspective of their chosen vocation. These weekend retreats are held at the Spiritual Renewal Center and are open to all Catholics preparing for marriage. For more information, and on-line registration, click here.
Transformed in Love
Serving couples who are generally around 40 and over, and/or seeking convalidation as well as couples who have been married before and are seeking a second marriage, or also who might already have children to care for, and beyond, this day of reflection helps couples better understand the Sacrament of Matrimony, and how to have a successful, lifelong marriage, loving as God loves. CatholicMarriagePrep.com is founded upon Saint John Paul II's Theology of the Body and stands as the sole online pre-Cana program offering personalized one-on-one mentoring by trained married couples. These mentors accompany couples through the entire process. We invite couples to deepen their relationship with each other and with Christ. One of the objectives of our marriage preparation is to foster discussions between the future bride and groom, aiding them in building a foundation for a strong, healthy, holy, and Christ-centered marriage. We also have several parishes utilizing resources to help couples prepare for marriage. The most popular is Witness to Love, which involves mentor couples in the process, and has proven to be very effective in helping couples have a fruitful marriage. We strive to create a global community of inspired married couples supported in the lifelong practice of natural family planning.
We believe learning and practicing NFP helps couples learn how to love one another fully and unselfishly. This translates into happy, stable marriages and families, open to life and sexual virtue.
Simply put, we want to help couples Live the Love they are called by God to experience as husband and wife.
